Anton Kallberg is a Swedish table tennis player born on the 17th of August, 1997, in Stockholm, Sweden. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. His dominant hand is right, and he uses the shakehand grip. He started his career very young and is a Swedish national team member.

Career

When looking at Anton Kallberg's career, he was fortunately lucky to be from a family that loves table tennis. His parents and younger sister were all top-notch table tennis players before, especially his sister, one of the best talents from Sweden. He started his career very early, and because of his perfect playstyle, many clubs from his youth days were after him. He played for different clubs in Soderhamn and Borlangen, and in 2014, he transferred to the second German division at TTC Ruhrstadt Herne, but he did most of his training and development at the TTF Ochsenhausen Table Tennis Practice Centre, where he could hone his skills and work on both his technical and tactical play.

He played in the 2014 European Youth Championships, where he played with the National team, and he won the bronze medals in both the singles and doubles events. Then after in 2015, he won the European Youth Championships in the singles edition, and because of this, he could advance in the world rankings and reached the 54th rank at the end of the year. It was a significant achievement for him, so multiple clubs were out for his services. In the 2015/2016 professional season, he joined the German club TTC Hagen, and in no time, he became their best player, having a 12:14 win-to-loss ratio and helping his club to finish 9th in the league.

2015 was an excellent year for him, as he was also blessed with the chance to represent his country in the World Cup, held in his native country, Sweden. It was a big honor for him, and he competed well. Unfortunately, he couldn't get into the latter stages of the competition and could only make it to the round of 16 stages, where he played and lost to Mizutani Jun. He then joined Borussia Dusseldorf in 2016, and he had a high league balance of 10 wins to 3 losses, that same year, he teamed up with Gerell Par, and together they reached the European Championships quarterfinals.

2017 was a standout year for him as he became the Swedish champion in the singles edition. He then won the German Cup and finished second in the Champions League. But one of the biggest highlights of his career is when he won the treble with his club in 2018, as Borussia Dusseldorf won the league championship, the cup, and the Champions League.

From 2018 till now, he has continued his club career in Borussia Dusseldorf, competing in multiple competitions, developing himself as a table tennis player, and creating his legacy. In 2015, he won the Boy's singles in the European junior championships, and then in 2019, he went on to win the men's singles edition of the ITTF Challenge held in Croatia. 2021 was another successful year for him when he won the WTT Contender in Tunisia. In 2022, in the WTT Contender in Lima, he won the doubles edition and came third in the singles. He also came third in the European championships and was the runner-up in the double edition of the WTT Contender Almaty. He also won the bronze medal in the 2022 WTT Contender in Durban.
