In the late 19th century in England, table tennis (first known as Ping-Pong) was invented as an indoor game for the winter months. Over the years, this has become an accredited Olympic game, giving many players, such as Shin Yu-bin, a career to be proud of. Shin Yu-bin is a South Korean female table tennis player. The youngest Korean Olympic Table Tennis player to date and a world-class champion. She broke the record of the youngest player, previously held by Ryu Seung-min. Interesting fact: The family name is Shin. Therefore, she is also known as Yubin Shin.

Biography

Shin Yu-bin was born on 5 July 2004 in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. There is little information available on Shin Yu-bin’s influencers and teachers. However, since she was born and raised in Korea, it could be assumed that her teachers were of Asian background and were part of the clubs or groups she started playing with as a child.

Career

Shin Yu-bin well-known table tennis player reached fame very early. She started making a name for herself at the age of 10! In 2014 Yu-bin Shin made her international debut in the Korea Open U21 event. This starling made her appearance in several Junior and Cadent events. Her career and public appearance skyrocketed when she won the Mixed Doubles Title in 2019 at the Czech Open event.

Game style

Shin Yu-bin is known for having a strong handshake grip. Her dominant hand is her right hand, and her fitness level is exceptional, giving her speed that works well to her advantage. She has made it clear in the last few matches that the best is yet to come!
