Born on August 24, 2001, in Mie, Japan, Togami has been playing table tennis since he was a young boy and is slowly establishing himself as one of the best players in the world. His records and achievements speak for themselves, especially at the youth level. So far in his professional career, he has gathered some accolades, taking home a bronze medal in the men's singles and team events at the 2021 Asian Table Tennis Championships held in Doha, Qatar. Togami already has a T-League title with his former Japanese club, Ryukyu Asteeda, after beating defeating Kenta Matsudaira in the final 4-2 in 2022. He has won several medals at the Youth Championships level in Asia and on the global stage. Some notable achievements include winning the doubles and mixed doubles titles on two occasions at the Youth Championships in Asia. Togami played at T.T Saitama for a period of two years (2018-2020) before moving to Ryukyu Asteeda. He continued to make a name for himself, winning two gold medals and two bronze medals at the Asian Championships held in Doha. He was also the recipient of two bronze medals at the Men's doubles and mixed doubles events at the WTT Star Contender, held in the same year.
Later he 2022, he signed a new contract with the German club, TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen. In the same year, Togami continued his impressive run, winning the singles event as he defeated Kenta Matsuidara in the final 4-2. He repeated this feat with the same score by beating Tomokazu Harimoto to claim the 2023 edition of the All Japan Table Tennis Championships in the singles event.
