Szu-yu Chen was born on August 1, 1993, in Taipei County, Taiwan. She weighs 123 lbs and is 5’4 ft (163cm) tall. She first competed in the Olympics when she was 18 years old.

Career

Szu-yu Chen has a few accomplishments in her table tennis career. She played for Taiwan in the Chinese Taipei Women's Team (TWT) at the London, Rio, and Tokyo Olympics. According to the Olympics, she ranked #17 in the London 2012 singles category, #9 in both the singles and team category of the Rio 2016 and #9 in the singles category and #5 in the team's category of the Tokyo 2020.

Moreover, the talented player has had several wins over stronger ping-pong opponents in the ITTF tournaments. In the latest ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup held in 2022 and the World Table Tennis championships, she beat serious opponents like Sawettabut Suthasini, Batra Manika, Mittelham Nina, and Yuan Jia Nan.
